There are many reasons that a normal passenger fail to get confirmed ticket at station counter. I have given some tips on how to get confirmed ticket at least for 2 to 3 people in a line. Follow these steps to get tatkal reservation at counter. See that passenger details are correctly entered and Identity card Xerox is attached with good print. Calculate the fare of tatkal ticket and give exact money to the ticketing staff, so as to save time in exchanging the amount. Calculation of fare for total number of passenger is done with help of internet operator on any café. Pre decide whether to take waitlisted ticket or not in case the tatkal quota get over within 2 minutes and ticketing staff ask you same question.

I have some doubt about new tatkal rules. The news information say that now you can get sleeper ticket from 11am to 12 noon. I am from Vasco I want to ask a question can I still get Tatkal ticket after 12 pm from vasco railway station if they are available. Or I have to book tatkal ticket only at IRCTC site after 12 pm?     1 comment: Anonymous 21 June 2015 at 13:14 for all agents including Itzcash its from 8.30am to 10am for genaral class of reservation. from 10.30am to 11.am for AC classes of Tatkal and from 11.30am to 12pm takal for sleeper class.
